Bird People

Hello Christine here....I discovered the Most Beautiful Poem and Blog, that fits our January Moon Theme...it is by Mila, a Dutch girl who has a blog called Loveology...this is her Poem:

Birdpeople

(.)

When i'm the birdgirl
please,
be my birdman.
Fly away with me
don't look behind
that will only hurt.

(.)

Touch my feathers
but leave them
on me.
They're mine
the only thing
i have left.

Look how beautifully
our feathers
match together.
This match
made in the highest skies
will never fall apart.

And when i almost fall
catch me.
When my wings
almost give up
share your wings with me.

January Full Moon: Intentions and What is Hidden that Stops us

During the January Full Moon we discussed our intentions for 2009. I have a commitment to teach more workshops and loose the weight I have been trying to loose for 10 years. We got into this great discussion about thoughts that get in the way of our success in achieving our goals.

For years I have made great progress in many areas of my life but in the area of my weight loss and romantic relationships I have had my challenges getting the results I want. What I noticed in our discussion at this full moon party, is that I am successful in many areas of my life wh
en I ask for help and invite advice from other people. What I didn't realize is that in the area of my weight loss and romantic relationships...I have been a giant "I'll do it myself...I don't need you...don't tell me what to do...I'm fine". I've been defensive and protective in that area. It was like I was admitting I was a failure if I asked for help. But in the full moon party I really saw the story I have been telling myself for years...it was kind of like a broken record singing... "I am a failure in the area of my romantic relationships and my weight loss..I will never have what I want".

So stories like that don't end over night...but I do know its there and suddenly it has less power than it did before. Just noticing it has allowed me to see...I am a grown ass woman and I can do it anyway I want. I could hire a match maker, I could hire a personal trainer, I could taking healthy cooking classes, I could travel to a spa for a week to work on the weight,... I am a grown ass woman and I have the power and the resources to do this the way I want to do it.

So I have been cooking great food from hungrygirl.com and attending weight watchers meetings. I already lost 1.6 lbs. I turned over my dating life to two friends who always want to fix me up with great men. We are going to meet for coffee to work on a strategy.

It's kind of fun...I really can have what I want and I can do it in a way that really expresses who I am.

Choosing a goal is wonderful but achieving it is an all together different thing. Particularly if you have been on that path many times without success. It is helpful to consider what might trip you up or take you off course. If you create a tentative plan today you can set yourself up for success.

I can't wait to report my success here.

January's Full Moon Party

Julie was our Gracious Hostess and she chose a beautiful Bird Theme....

Julie and I often notice "orbs" floating around once we get our pictures back from these events...I see that many Angels graced us with their presence last night...look closely for the white circles of light, some took to our heart chakras and others to the solar, sacral and root areas...

As an Artist Julie brings such a spark to our Parties...Tonight we played a game of "wings" and "keys" to deepen our bonds of friendship...Key cards were to write your "needs" and Wing cards were to give away as "assistance" to the others needs...in other words, we learned how we could be of support to one another and really make a difference.

The entire evening was magical and blessed...I Thank Julie for her wonderful attention to detail and great effort to feed us healthy and uplifting foods. Robyn's dessert was amazing, and the company of wonderful women friends is always so inspiring. So, until Next Moon....

Love and Light, Christine

January Full Moon : Moon of Quiet and Silent Messages

January 11th we will celebrate the Full Moon of Quiet and Silent Messages.

This full moon we will share our intentions for 2009 and explore the silent messages that often show up at the beginning of the new year.

We often have ideas of what we want for ourselves in 2009 but have you ever considered that an intention may be calling us? An intention may be calling us because it needs us to be born into life? Are there any intentions that are calling you this year?

Maybe the universe is communicating with you right now through repeated thoughts and symbols. Are you noticing any silent messages this year? Are there any repeated ideas and symbols that keep showing up for you? If nothing comes to mind right now...stay alert and listen...God's tryin' to tell you somethin'.

What to Bring
- A list of your intentions for 2009 to share
- Something that symbolizes the silent messages you may be getting for the altar
- Succulent Fruit, Pretty Bottled Water or Sparkling Beverage to share

Full Moons for 2009

It's a new year and that means its time for a new year of Full Moon Parties.

Here are the dates of the full moon for 2009. This year we are opening up full moon celebrations to be hosted by the tribe of moon goddesses. If the spirit moves our tribe members may open their homes to full moon celebrations in their homes. Host a Moon Party is not a requirement but an opportunity for full self expression, service and love.

Moon Hostesses are free to pick the theme of the moon, the activities and the guest list. The magic of the moon is best celebrated during the full moon time (the day before the full moon, the day of the full moon or the day after the full moon). This means there is lots of flexibility to have a party on a night that works for the host.

We look forward to a wonderful year of marvelous manifestations!

P is for Pleasure in 2009

The New Year's Retreat was a delight. I got a new red bag and fur cuffed slipper socks. I felt like a real glamor girl! We all met at Christine's house (Christine, Christina and I) and we all jumped in the car headed to Cavallo Point. When we arrived it was magical. They took care of our every need. They greeted us with big smiles and playfulness. We giggled and marveled at every detail of the hotel. The original wood floors, the art, the lighting and the music. It was all so thoughtful. The admiration was really appreciated it seems like gifts where falling out of every delightful experience. We were given a room upgrade, special desserts, details for the best places to eat, how to stay warm, spots to see great views and more.

Our room had a fabulous view of the bay and the hotel grounds. The hotel is totally eco friendly, and organic. Every bit of the experience reminded me of how precious the environment is to me ..to us ... to the planet. There is a way to enjoy luxury and be gentle on the environment.

Dinner was a delight. Each course was served elegantly and presented like a work of art. I'm usually a 'more is more' person but the portion sizes where small and the satisfaction was enormous. I was full and satisfied at the end of the meal.

The next morning we went to the Spa. I am a self proclaimed spa junkie and this spa is right up there with my all time favorite spas. I soaked for hours in the eucalyptus hot tub, steam room, and jacuzzi. We enjoyed an amazing tomato soup for lunch.

Then we got all dressed up, took photos of our glamorous selves and headed off to dinner. Dinner was wonderful. The bar was filled with gold and black balloons. A jazz band played. We watched the ball drop in New York, then headed back to our room for cocktails. Two hours later when it was time for us to ring in the New Year in California, we headed down to the hotel reception area to toast and see fire works. We found a great spot on the porch of one of the older hotel units to watch the Fire works. When the clock struck 11:59 the entire hotel erupted into music, horn blowing and drunken screams. Two people even busted out illegal sparklers.

It was wonderful.
It was exactly what I wanted and more than I expected.
I am blessed and its good to start the new year this way.
Full of possibility and pleasure!

Here's to PLEASURE

Publication...Prosperity...and P things to come...

Across a Golden Bridge the Goddesses sped to a Pink City floating on clouds...and in the mystical mist Manifestations were conjured. We wished for Fun and Frolic and Fireworks and every little whim was fulfilled. What a lovely and Beautiful escape.
