Snow Moon~ More Photos

Once again Ms Julie Valentine out did herself, creating a Winter Wonderland/Swiss Ski chalet cozy environment for us ladies to gather and reflect. We experienced the Joy of old friends and the newness of a clean slate. A place to draw upon new ideas and inspirations for a Fresh Holiday Season that shall leap from the palettes of our own Imagination. Julie asked us to create
our own Ideal Holiday and our own concept of traditions and rituals in this Winter Season. Many themes emerged ~ "Light" "Joy" "Love" "Relaxing" and the most magical word of all... "Believe"

I believe in the Light of a very powerful source, a source of Joy and Love and contentment that is ever present and never fails us. In this Winter of cold and dark surroundings I choose to Celebrate the Light, Joy and Love of the true souls in my life.
Blessed be and Thanks to all the Goddesses for a wonderful year of Moons and Manifestations. I love you all and give Thanks for this Circle.

December Full Moon: Snow Moon : Thank You!

December Snow Moon was a delight and a pleasure to plan and provide. Since I'm not working I needed to be super creative and plan. Everything came out beautifully. I made most of the food, bought everything on sale, went to dollar stores and collected items for a month for this event. It is possible to put on a beautiful full moon on a budget. That is a big learning for me.

I also realized last night that I am growing up...being a grown ass woman doing my life on my own terms. My interview with Apple went great. I was myself and I asked questions that would allow me to choose them as an employer. I do have a choice and I am responsible enough to make my own choices. Part of what I need to do is listen to my own wisdom from within. Working out and eating well has helped me to remain calm and at peace. In that space I have found amazing opportunities and solutions.

I also created new traditions of my own. Andy helped me get my first Christmas tree in 12 years.  I decided a long time ago that Christmas was with my family in Washington, DC. I never bothered decorating my space. This year, Andy and I created Christmas here. Christmas trees, holiday lights, presents under the tree, stockings, and Christmas music...the works! I'm going to celebrate 4 christmased with my goddess girls on December 4th,  with Andy's family December 16th-21st and with my family December 21st-27th and then Andy and I will celebrate our Christmas on the 28th. Amazing to celebrate for the entire month of December.

Andy joined us at the end of the evening. We were not quite finished but he worked long hours over the last few days and by 10:30 pm (when I told him to come) he was super ready to come home.  So he waited as long as he could and came over.  So now I know I need a house. So he can be in one part of the house watching TV or sleeping while we do our moon party thing in the other part of the house.

I love you guys with all my heart. Thanks for attending the full moon at my house and have a wonderful new year.

December Full Moon: Snow Moon

December Snow Moon

Date: Friday December 4th
Time: 7:00 pm
Place: Julie Valentine's House

Bring: Bring something sparkly to drink and share
Wear: Wear something sparkly with a hint of something winter white.

Please join us for an evening of winter celebration and girly gathering to create our greatest expression of this holiday season.

This full moon we will focus on our expectations and perceptions of the holiday's. Everyone has different expectation of the holidays and sometimes those expectations no longer express who we are today. They reflect a vision we had as a child or a vision that was given to us by our families. Full moon is about reclaiming who we are as women for ourselves and for those around us.

This full moon we will focus on consciously shaping the holidays in ways that express who we are today...our love, our creativity, our joy, and our personal beliefs. This may mean creating new traditions or bringing new life to existing ones.

I'm looking forward to creating some miracles this holiday season so ladies please remember to respect the sacredness of our circle, do your work to be present when you arrive and be open for some REAL MAGICK.

I look forward to see you!

Love, leadership and laughter,

Julie

Sassafras Full Moon Celebration

This full moon was a joy and a delight. Christine requested that we all come prepared to evoke the magic of the moon together. With the full moon and Samhain so close together...this moon promised extra magical energy. Our gracious hostess Christine greeted us at the door with a wide smile and an open heart. Her home was a glow of candles and the air was fragrant with the aroma of sweet and savory dishes. We embraced and placed the objects we brought with us that represented Earth, Air, Water and Fire on the altar. We gathered in the living room to settle and catch up with each other. Wine, artichoke dip and walnut bread ...yummy! When we where done spilling open about our month and catching up ...we moved into the dining room for dinner.

We began with seasonal fresh veggies and fruit...grapes, pomegranate seeds, lady apples, baby carrots. Christine shared the story of  Persephone and the Greek myth of how the seasons came to be. It was a beautiful story and got us in the mood to honor the sacredness of winter.  Dinner was healthy vegetarian and delicious.

After dinner we had tea in the living room and Christine lead us in a wonderful meditation. My meditation took me down an old oak tree with smooth walls and lots of light. We met our spirit guides who took us to a special world. My world was filled with nature, butterflies and flowing streams. My ancestors where there and someone told me my theme for the coming year...HEALTH. I also was cut over my right brow with a silver sward and then my guide healed me instantly. No scars and no pain. I realized that attending to my health will allow me to heal any wounds I may have ...and no scars or evidence of the original wound will remain. On the way out of our meditation we met an animal guide. I met a white lamb.

We wrote in wonderful paper scrolls and shared our sacred objects. I brought my Lumarian seed crystal, the water from Chalice Well in Glastonbury, England, my feather fan I use to smudge my house and a 7 day prayer candle.

The coming year for me is about creating a LEGENDARY LEGACY. It starts with taking care of my health and losing the weight I need to loose. Loosing the weight allows me to shed what I don't need so I can be present for what I want.  What I want most of all is to work for a company and in a career where my interests and my skills meet. I also want to continue to be in one of the most satisfying romantic relationships of my life.

October Mini Moon: Blackberry Moon

The full moon landed on a weekend. We decided to meet Shannon at the Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, where she works for the summer, to enjoy the weather and journal our intentions for the full moon. We did our cards with my soulcollage card collection and began to focus on whats next for our lives. The view was wonderful and since shannon is a new puppy mommie we watched as she hugged and cuddled little Laila.

I find the best way to experience the full moon is by exploring the patterns of experiences around the full moon. There was a some repetitive themes I saw over the last few days. What I kept hearing is how important it is to live YOUR lifes adventure and how to deal with its impact on people around you that are indirectly impacted. It requires a certain amount of strength to keep going, not get derailed, speak your truth, do the unpopular thing, break from the pack, etc. It takes support from people who get it. It takes the willingness to ask for support. It takes doing whatever it takes to stop the negative point of view and adopt a new point of view the moves you in the direction of your dreams. It takes acceptance that people will be impacted and there is nothing you can do about it. You can prepare them but you can't do anything about their reaction. They own that. But if you are clear within yourself...you can speak your truth and let them have what ever experience they choose to have.

There is a certain amount of power to make that happen. There is a certain amount of courage to make that happen. So this moon is about having the courage to make what I want happen...and dealing with the circumstances that may block me or trip me up.

Chrysanthemum Moon ~More Visuals

I am a Night Owl still buzzing off the excitement and energy of our "Money" Moon...I feel recharged, renewed and re focused, thanks to my Goddess Girls. Talk about Powerful.. The talent, insights, drive, and motivation of these ladies is enough to solve all the worlds problems and then some. I spent the week and the day concentrating on how "Wealth" and "Well being' feels...I surrounded myself with thoughts of ease, finanicial freedom and a universe that is infinitely abundant. I pictured sharing my own talents on a new level...of having success, praise and lucrative rewards. I also imagined how I would accept the praise and rewards with Grace and Gratitude. I want Money and Affluence to be a continual cycle, like a wheel that balances itself with giving and receiving...a flow that is never ending. I feel very good about believing that all I need is already here. It is mine by Divine right in a perfect and positive way...and there will always be enough...not only for me, but for all of u. If only we choose to accept it with Grace and Gratitude.

September Full Moon: Abundance

Last night was another delightful evening. Jenna, Betty, Christine, Shannon, Lisa and I relaxed with champagne flutes with chrysanthemum petals in Christine's dining room...for good fortune. We caught up, shared and laughed until we cried. Dinner was an amazing quiche with cheese and spinach. (Soooo good). We did an abundance ritual with oranges, cinnamon, and green candles. Then I was time to write and for the first time in along time I was stuck. I kept seeing the words "FAITH" and "WEALTH". Then the phrase "People don't listen. They never have and they neve will." I didn't know what it meant. Nothing came and I know how powerful our moon parties are that I began to get angry with myself and then sad that I could not find anything to write down. I could not authentically find the words and commit them to paper.

It was time to ask for support...I shared with the goddesses that I was stuck and they came to the rescue and helped me find my way out ... They helped me realize that I was upset because I already asked for what I wanted and I had faith that God had already answered my prayers. All that was left to do was be grateful for what God has done and will continue to do in my life. I gave thanks for my purpose and everything I continue to be blessed with in life. My lifes's purpose is to be of service to others. I dont need to know all the details...I just need to listen and share my gifts with others.

From the point of gratitude I found the freedom and inspiration to write. The words came and then there was a list...a list of inspired actions I need to take to move me in the direction of my dreams. So what there is for me to do is:

- Prepare in advance for all the workshops I lead
- Got body work on a regular basis
- Resume my daily practice of connecting with the Divine through walking in nature, meditation, yoga and prayer.
- Work out regularly: Get a personal trainer, Join a Gym
- Get support with emotional eating
- Create a retirement fund
- Get house insurance
- Pay all bills on time
- Get sleep each night
- End projects that dont produce fruit
- List 6+ things that need to be done each day and do them
- Forgive people: People change...let it go

Lisa shared that her only job is Marketing and Self Care. I liked that so I'm adopting that for myself...My only job is self-care and marketing what I offer that will support others in their full self expression. I am so grateful for friends who will help me through to a place of flow and freedom. I love these moon parties.
